As I was listening to NPR on my way to work, I came upon a wonderful interview with Seth MacFarlane, the creator of one of my favorite guilty-pleasure shows, Family Guy. He does the voices for all the three characters Peter, Stewie and Brian, whose voice seems to be the closest to its creator's.
He is coming up with a new big band jazz album called Music is Better than Words. Celebrating the brushed-away songs of the 1940s and 50s, it is quite refreshing to hear him sing without irony. His voice is crisp, rich and at the same time sensitive. Even though all I can see is Brian singing with a martini glass in his hands, this sweet, nostalgic, finger-snappin' album would be perfect to listen to on rainy days like today.
