Over the weekend, finding myself alone and hungry around Akaretler, I immediately stopped by Corvus Wine & Bites for, as the name transparently suggests, a bite and a glass of wine. This small and stylish wine bar always gives me a more welcome. Their small plates are as focused and to the point as their wine list, which has a niche approach and serves only Corvus wine. This award-winning new Bozcaada winery is arguably the best Turkish wine has to offer.
It has a way of relaxing me this place. Maybe it's the cool jazz melodies they play, or the non-threatening, well thought-out little plates or perhaps, and more likely, the wine. My favorites are the Blend Bianco for white and Blend No.2 for red. I'm happy that I will be going there tonight.
Haftasonu Akaretler'de kendimi aç ve yalnız bulunca, hemen Corvus Wine & Bites'a gittim. İsminin transparan bir şekilde önerdiği gibi bir lokma birşey atıştırıp bir kadeh de şarap keyfi için. Bu küçük ve hoş şarap barı beni hep çok sıcak karşılıyor. Ufak tabakları, sadece Corvus sunan şarap listesi kadar keskin, odaklı ve abartısız. Bu ödül kazanmış Bozcaada şarabı Türk şarabının en iyilerinden olduğu güvenle iddia edilebilir.
Bu yer beni gevşetmenin bir yolunu buluyor mutlaka. Belki çaldıkları caz melodileri, belki insanın üstüne üstüne gelmeyen, detaylıca düşünülmüş ufak tabakları veya, ve büyük ihtimal, şarapları. Beyaz için favorim Blend Bianco ve kırmızı için Blend No.2. Bu akşam oraya gideceğim için seviniyorum.
