Happy Monday sweets! I woke up this morning, energized and more importantly, inspired. It must be the after-effects of finally being able to watch one of the documentaries I've been waiting for, Diana Vreeland: The Eye has to Travel.

The film that celebrates the revolutionary editor that turned Harper's Bazaar and Vogue from fashion magazines to life-style magazines, is a story less about fashion, but more about style. A style of living. A style of looking at life at large. It is a story about the thirst for a quality of life.  It is a portrait of fearlessly creating the life you want for yourself. It is about daring to be an original.

The documentary is inspired by her recordings taken in her room she called, "a garden in hell," in preparation for her autobiography. What is most inpsiring about the film is her quotes taken from various interviews. So I'll let this young-at-heart eccentric Diana Vreeland speak for herself. Harper's Bazaar ve Vogue dergilerini, basit birer moda dergisi olmaktan yaşam dergisi haline çeviren devrimci editörü kutlayan film, modayla ilgili bir hikayeden çok stil ile ilgili. Yaşama stili. Hayata bakma tarzı. Kaliteli bir yaşam arzusu. Orijinal olmaya cesaret etmek ve korkusuzca kendimiz için istediğimiz hayatı yaratabilmenin portresi.

Belgesel, biyografisine hazırlık aşamalarında, ''cehennemde bir bahçe'' olarak nitelendirdiği odasında yapılan ses kayıtlarından ilham alınarak yapılmış.
