There aren't many people who can get me out of bed when I'm feeling this knocked out by the cold. But Queen Z is definitely one of the few. Our inner circle friends are a part of family, so if you can lift your head up, then out you hop out of bed for your friend!
Our choice for tonight was Delicatessen. I've had mixed feelings about this place. Some days I loved it, some days it wasn't my first choice. I thought the upstairs was cool, then I thought it was awkwardly set-up. But then I figured it out. I like the upstairs for brunch, lunch or an afternoon coffee and/or cocktails. The downstairs is definitely more suitably inviting for a nice dinner.
Since it is by the creator of Mangerie, you are in good hands. I especially love their cheese selections (which you may purchase at the super cute entrance with all rest of the goodies such as cutting boards, jams, bowls, aprons etc.) and their steak dishes. For brunch, I prefer their eggs benedict and for lunch, a bloody mary to pair with one of their hearty sandwiches. And if you have one portion of dessert that you allow yourself, save it for Delicatessen. Absolute delish!
No wonder I will be back there for brunch tomorrow with Romantic Rocker. See you then...
Her Allah'ın kulu beni bu kadar hastayken yataktan kaldıramaz. Ama Queen Z bu nadir kişilerden biri. En yakın hissettiğimiz dostlarımız ailemizin bir parçası oluveriyorlar. Ve eğer başını yastıktan kaldırabiliyorsanız, tabii dostunuz için yataktan hoppala zıplayıverirsiniz!
Bu akşamki seçimimiz Delicatessen. Burasıyla ilgili çok karışık fikirlerim oldu. Bir gün bayıldım, bir gün aklıma gelen ilk yer olmaktan çıktı. Birgün üst katının çok cool olduğunu düşünürken diğer günler tuhaf bir düzeni olduğunu hisseder oldum. Ama en sonunda olayı çözdüm. Üst katını brunch, öğle yemeği, akşamüstünü kahve veya kokteyl için tercih ediyorum. Alt katı güzel bir akşam yemeği için ideal.
Mangerie'nin yaratıcısının yeri olduğu için emin ellerdesiniz. Ben özellikle peynir çeşitlerini (şeker girişinde satın alabilirsiniz, kesme tahtası,reçeller, kaseler, önlükler vb. diğer harika ürünlerle beraber) ve de et yemeklerini beğeniyorum. Brunch için eggs benedict ve öğlen yemeği için de bloody mary ile leziz sandviçlerini tercih ediyorum. Ve eğer bir porsiyon tatlı yeme hakkınız varsa, onu Delicatessen'a saklayın. Kesinlikle buna değecektir.
