Writing down Favorite Quotes

My sister had gotten me this beautiful notebook with a color drawing of Venice when she returned from her work trip. I wanted to use it for something good, utilize it in a way that I would always keep it.

One night, I was watching Mad Men of all things, and towards the end of the episode, the character Don Draper writes in his notebook, which moved me in an unpredictable way. I grabbed the notebook from my bookshelf and wrote the quote down. Since then it's been a notebook of quotes.

I wrote a few in it today. Whether from a blog, a movie or a book, it always makes me feel calm. I highly recommend it. Oh and here is the quote from Mad Men that inspired me to have the Quotes Notebook...

Ablam Venedik'deki iş seyahatindan döndüğünde bana üzerinde renkli Venedik çizimi olan çok güzel bir defter getirmişti. Hoş bir amaç için kullanmak istedim o defteri, her zaman elime tutabileceğim bir şekilde.

Bir akşam rastgele Mad Men seyrediyordum. Bölümün sonuna doğru Don Draper karakteri defterine birşey yazmaya başlar ve yazdığı beni beklenmedik bir şekilde etkilemişti. Defteri kitaplığımdan kaptım ve karakterin dediklerini yazmaya başladım. O günden beri defteri bir alıntı defteri olarak kullanıyorum.

Bugün de birkaç söz yazdım içine. Bir blogdan, filmden veya kitaptan olsun, beni her zaman sakin hissettiriyor. Size de çok tavsiye ederim. Ve işte Alıntılar Defteri'ne ilham veren bölümün zar zor Türkçe'ye çevrilmiş hali...
