Inspiration Exists! Happy Friday Notes...

Hello sweets. This week has been a challenge for me creatively. Self-doubt and the anticipation to hit a wall made me freeze. Until I remembered one of my favorite quotes from Picasso. "Inspiration exists. But it has to find you working." Research, planning, gathering ideas are necessary. But recycling those ideas in your head won't take you to the finish line,  the hardest part will. Beginning the work. So take it easy. Have a drink of your choice (coffee, scotch, red bull, whatever works) and take a seat. Ready, steady, go!

This week I will be pre-occupied with the arrival of DJ G. Tonight I'm off to Raika. And tomorrow we're off to Auf, which I was happy to find out that they took over the old space of 62. Next week will also involve a dinner at Bird, and hosting my aunties at tea-time, which will probably involve this particular cheesecake. Who knows what else? But on that sweet note, I wish you a wonderfully delicious weekend full of inspiration.

Selam şekerler. Bu hafta yaratacılığımın zorlandığı bir hafta geçirdim. Kendimden şüphe edip duvara çarpmayı beklerken donakaldım. Ama sonra Picasso'nun en sevdiğim sözlerinden birini hatırladım. ''İlham var. Ama sizi çalışırken bulmalı.'' Araştırma yapmak, planlamak, fikir edinmek. Bunlar gerekli. Ama o fikirleri kafanızda döndürüp durmak değil, asıl işin en zor kısmı sizi sonuca götüren şey oluyor. Çalışmaya başlamak. O yüzden biraz rahatlayın. Bir içki seçin (kahve, whiskey, red bull, ne işe yarıyorsa) ve masanıza oturun. Ready, steady, go!

Bu hafta DJ G Istanbul'da geleceğinden ordan oraya koşuşturuyor olacağım. Bu akşam Raika (eleştiri için bekleyin), yarın ise Auf'dayız, ki eski 62'nin yerini de almalarına çok sevindim. Haftaya aynı zamanda Bird'de yemek ve bu cheesecake'i yapacağım teyzeleri akşamüstü çayında ağırlama durumu var. Ve bakalım daha neler neler? Hazır konu tatlıdan açılmışken, hepinize ilham ve lezzet dolu bir haftasonu diliyorum.
